Welcome to Booked. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Booked ("Booked," "we," "us," or "our") governing your use of the Booked application and website (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use the Service. By using Booked, you represent that you are 18 or older and able to enter into these Terms.
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You are also responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, such as reread dates and followed authors. Please notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
Release dates, covers, and other catalog details come from third-party sources, including Open Library, Google Books, and Wikipedia. This information is provided as estimates and for convenience only. We do not guarantee that it is accurate, complete, or current, and you should not rely on it for time-sensitive decisions such as purchases.
The Booked name, app, design, and original content are owned by Booked and protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial reading tracking.
Book and author data displayed in the app is provided by third parties and remains subject to their terms and licenses. Content sourced from Wikipedia is made available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, and content from Google Books and Open Library is subject to their respective API terms. We credit these sources and do not claim ownership of their content.
Booked participates in the Amazon and Barnes & Noble affiliate programs. When you follow a link to those retailers and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. These links are provided for your convenience and are not an endorsement of any particular seller or price.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time by emailing liv@bookedapp.org. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, misuse the Service, or where necessary to protect the Service or other users. We may also modify or discontinue features, or the Service as a whole, at any time.
Booked is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that catalog data will be accurate.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Booked will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. To the extent any liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100) or the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Booked from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
If you download Booked from the Apple App Store or Google Play, your use is also subject to that store's terms. You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Booked, not with Apple or Google, and that Apple and Google are not responsible for the Service or its support. Where the Service is obtained through the Apple App Store, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Minnesota, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will stay in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Booked regarding the Service and supersede any prior agreements.
